27th Birthday

I love celebrating other peoples birthday's.  Not so much my own.  This is the first year I didn't spend a significant amount of time on my birthday ugly crying- thank you therapy.  I only cried happy / surprised tears thanks to my husband, Eric.  He surprised me by giving me a piece of jewelry, a beautiful sapphire necklace.  I will always remember his excitement giving it to me and telling me how much fun he had looking at the store and then in a catalog to find what he was picturing for me.  Then he surprised me with dinner reservations with a beautiful view! At the end of the week my sister came to visit.  We took her camping to show her how it's done haha.  Our last camping trip of the year!  I love when the leaves are changing colors, who doesn't?

All in all, I had a fantastic birthday.  I recognize the many things in my life that I am blessed with.  And I am grateful for the special people placed in my life.  I think this is the first birthday in 5-6 years that I can see where I'm going and what I'm doing in my life, and that makes me excited!

Recent Happenings and Changes!

Hello! I believe it's time for another catch up. Some of my excuses for not blogging include Texas, a wedding, graduating and moving to a new state. So those are all perfectly good reasons :)

On March 12th my best friend, Alyssa, from high school got married to her high school sweet heart! It was the perfect excuse to fly to Texas for 5 days to finish wedding plans, catch up with friends and eat mexican food. Alyssa's bouquet was AMAZING and the wedding party made their own! It actually felt intimidating but turned out fun making mine. I just don't think I could professionally do that haha.

Since September 2015 we have taken a trip almost monthly to St. George.  The photos below were taken early February after we felt prompted to officially move to St. George and we were there looking for a home! If you've been to St. George you most likely can guess exactly where we are standing :) Not pictured is Easter weekend when we took a trip to St. George. The first full day there Eric felt so sick he requested to be taken to the Doctor and after a nasal swab we found out he had type B influenza. I'm so happy we caught it quickly and he started taking his medications so that he was better for our move the following week. But during that weekend I had a job interview and was offered it! I accepted and so far have been LOVING it.

At the time of our decision to move I was in an online program to get my Bachelors degree in Nursing. I was working as a RN up to 60 hours a week with the demand of about 25 hours a week of school papers and projects. With the decision to move during this time saying I was stressed is an understatement. I was drowning. I'm so grateful that we were in a good place that allowed me to quit my job the first of March and focus on completing my online assignments as fast as possible and pack up our belongings. We had our official move on April 1st! Minus the stress leading up to it, the drive went smoothly and great. My feelings of leaving Rexburg were strange because I've spent the past 5 years there growing and changing as a person. Living in Rexburg for college gave me my best friends, my engagement to Eric and our first 2 years of marriage together there!

April 8th was graduation day and I officially have my BSN degree! Instead of walking across a stage, since I did that when I got my ASN degree, I treated myself to some ice cream. THIS is why I suddenly have free time. Only working three days of the week opens up a lot of possibilities of what I can do on my days off. Also, here's a little throwback to graduating with my ASN degree! :)

WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 2 YEARS. WHAT?! We pampered our selfs as a way to say thank you to each other for putting up with one another. Haha just kidding :) Being married to Eric is the absolute greatest. He completes me and is my best friend. We had a very laid back day. After sleeping in, we enjoyed an incredible couples massage and pedicures at a day spa. If you want a good laugh watch Eric get his feet tickled during a pedicure. We then ate dinner at the Cliffside and enjoyed this gorgeous view from our table.

The most exciting change happening... Our future home! We have found and decided on a place to live here in the St. George area!! We are so in love with it. Obviously, it's being built! I'd say these next two months are my biggest test of patience. More updates and pictures on that to come!

Very Little Is Needed To Be Happy

The past 7 weeks have been a new adventure.  You know how when things change, it's exciting! But it takes a while to get used to the change and find a new routine?  I've just been waiting for 7 weeks to feel like I've found that "routine".

Here is a look at my days..

Day #1:

5:00 AM- my alarm has already been going off 15 minutes and I've hit snooze twice.  Eric's a pro at sleeping through it now.  I get out of bed to start my wake up routine because it takes me an hour to fully wake up and eat breakfast.

5:50 AM- I kiss Eric goodbye and leave the house.  And I don't want to face the fact this time will change when it's time to scrape of the ice and snow.

6:00 AM- start work!

many things happen... #imanurse

6:30-7:00 PM- I get to leave work!  I come home to my amazing husband who makes the day that much better. He smooches me,  we usually unwind with parks and rec, dinner, I get to take a mental break then it's usually to bed if I have work the next day.

I'm working full time, so only 3 days a week. Sometimes I repeat day #1 two or three days in a row.  I don't mind it, but I have to stick to a work then sleep schedule strictly because who can function on anything less than 6 hours of sleep?!

Day #2:

My off day. Where I dream of having no alarm and relaxing all day.  But I am still finishing school!  "Hey, I thought you graduated?"  After I graduated the Associates nursing program I went straight into the online Bachelors program and did one semester.  Then I took some much needed time off after that from the Bachelors program and I'm back at it again.  I spend about 6-8 hours on my day off doing the projects and papers.  So it's been quit the adjustment working full time and school full time and I struggled A LOT with it in the beginning.  I asked Eric multiple times a week to remind me I should finish my bachelors in nursing.  It's been about 7 weeks now and I feel like I've slightly mastered it (some days more than others)...  But now its half way through the semester! I'll be done in April!  So I guess I have a little case of super-senioritis. (over 4 years of college will do that to you)

Eric's in school full time as well! He's gone to campus for classes, doing homework and a cub scout leader.  I kept waiting until things felt "easier" and we fell into a perfect routine.  But the excitement of getting to see one another and getting to spend time together is HUGE.  I wouldn't have it any other way right now.  I love how excited Eric gets when he realizes and says "Wait... you don't work tomorrow!"  And we get to stay in bed asleep together just a little longer that morning.  Or when I walk into the door after a way too long day and he still hasn't eaten dinner because he's been waiting for me.  I'm very grateful for the education I've already received.  It's a huge plus I love my job and it's rewarding.

I've realized "very little is needed to be happy".  I'm reflecting on the past few weeks right now and I'm thinking that it has actually been alright and even fun.  I'm so grateful I get to go through adventures and new changes with my best friend.

Randoms of Summer

I feel like anytime I lose interest in my little blog or I haven't posted in months I owe an explanation. So then I have no idea where to start! I figured this type of post would help me gather my thoughts best for an update. Sorry if it still seems all over the place!

Loving: This summer. It's been so good to us. We've been living the life in Texas and having a great time. Things haven't gone absolutely perfect, but I am so happy we chose to live in Texas for the summer. In a way it has felt like a laid back summer... Even though we worked/studied/took test a lot. Haha I guess that's when you know it's been a good summer-when you worked a lot but know it's still been fantastic!

Home; Dallas, TX

Looking forward to: I remember writing a post a while back about feeling "stuck" living in Rexburg, so far away from family and wanting a change. But now, Eric and I have been talking about how much we are missing our home there and are looking forward to returning! So I guess this summer move has been really great for us! :) And also... that Idaho weather will be so much better.

Working: I spent about 3 hours working on my resume and I still don't feel like it's good enough :/ Does that sound silly? I am applying for a new nursing job in Rexburg that will be long term for me. Fingers crossed!

Laughing at: My first experience being stung by a wasp. Last weekend we were by the pool and I was stung... if you don't bother them they won't bother you, right?! No, I stepped on it and experienced (what I thought) was the worse, intensifying pain for about 3 minutes.

Eric is trying to calm me and saying "Let me take a look at it so I can put some ice on it"
But I would not let him look and kept saying "It's going to be bad!!" (because hello, it hurt)
When I finally let him put ice on it I asked "How bad is it??"
He said nonchalantly "Oh it's just a tiny red dot."
WHAT I thought my toe was falling off. He started laughing at my reaction.. I was mad that he was laughing when I was in pain.. then we were both dying laughing. I was perfectly fine 10 minutes later (thank goodness I'm not allergic).

Planning: Something on our to-do list at the beginning of the summer was take a few camping trips. We received all of our gear as a Christmas present this past year... But who goes camping in the middle of summer in Texas? No one sane. We have an AWESOME camping trip planned when we return to Idaho! We have a week before the semester starts to cram in Idaho hiking and camping.

Excited: Before we return to Idaho we are stopping in St. George for a WEEK. We are so excited to explore there, do some fun hikes and spend time with Eric's family!

Appreciating: Beautiful mornings. I admit, since marriage I turned into NOT a morning person... But I started working at a summer camp and I left each morning a little after 6 am and it was like the quietness and sunrise made up for it.

A little sad at: We finished watching The Office. Honestly, for years I was never a fan. I tried watching it once or twice and couldn't get into it. Then something changed. I pushed through the first 2-3 episodes in season 2 and I fell in love with it! We love The Office family and the last episode I cried. We are those annoying people who quotes The Office and makes jokes now.

Making: A Fall bucket list, because if you say fall isn't your favorite season you know you're slightly kidding yourself. I love all the things Idaho has to offer in the Fall time.

Experiencing: The excitement for structure. I'm excited for our new routine to start. I can feel myself becoming more organized as the summer ends. I have already made a packing list for next week and a list of things to get done when we return to Idaho before the school year starts... Eric thinks I'm weird.

Grateful for: My husband sticking by my side this summer! He is the best and I could elaborate much more in another post.. or maybe 5 other ones. I love him!

Realization: Well, I've realized a few things from writing this. We have loved this summer and Texas. But we can't wait to go back to Rexburg. I am ready for routine and structure. But I am going to miss how flexible the summer has been and the adventures we went on. Mixed feelings! haha

March 31, 2015

random tuesday.

I haven't posted in a while because most of the time I feel that my day-to-day life is bland. We are pretty normal in the Johnson home! But I liked the way that Kayla summed it all up on her blog, so I thought I would give it a try also.

Loving: How close Eric and I have gotten. Our one year anniversary is soon and we've been reminiscing about the past year and how our marriage and ourselves have changed. It's so fun having a best friend to do everything with.

Working: I am working on personally improving my health. I can honestly say it's been great, but it is hard. I admit cutting out the delicious pizza and tacos is tough. But since working out every morning for the past month, I can tell such a difference in how I feel when I put good things in my body. When it comes to exercising I'm starting to feel addicted to the feeling after a great workout and I love the results. There is a race coming up mid-June. I'd have to get on top of training. I'm considering signing up for the 10k or Half-marathon. But it makes me so nervous to commit! Ahhh, what are your experiences?

Cooking: We made this chicken taco soup in the crockpot. Goodness. It was so good and Eric's asking when we can make it again.

Experiencing: Shopping for a DSLR camera. We've been researching! I want to know what you have, why you like it and what you know about canon and nikon. This is a camera we'll have for many years!

Listening to: A lot of my recent favorite songs are on my Running play list. Check out "Hurricane" by MisterWives.

A little sad at: The Walking Dead. Any other fans out there? I wasn't a fan until a year ago, I admit. At that time I was able to watch seasons 1-4. That's a LOT. I guess when season 5 started I had to get used to the pace of the show slowing way down. Sometimes I wanted it to pick up more. Now this season is over! Ohhh that season finale. What did you think?

Wasting time: Netflix. Always netflix. This time it's Revenge. Most of the time we laugh at the crazy people in that show and wonder when her cover will be blown.

Looking forward to: GENERAL CONFERENCE. I love that the General Women's Meeting is held the weekend before. It was so great and it get's me in the mood even more for general conference weekend. This weekend we'll be staying home and it'll be relaxing and filled with listening to the messages of inspiration and guidance.

Obsessed with: Curling my hair. I haven't curled it in forever and I've done it almost every day this last week. I go through phases of everything with my hair. Five-six months ago I was so tired of it being long, so I cut it all off at the very beginning on the year. It's already grown a ton... But now I'm really missing my long hair!

Appreciating: My sister who has been waking up with me every morning to meet me at the gym to workout together.

Laughing at: Eric using Pinterest. He get's on it and finds the funniest memes and jokes!

Excited: This past week we made exciting plans that are happening very soon. I mean, it involves Texas so it has to be exciting! I have to keep quite just a little longer.

Grateful for: My Savior and this time of year to reflect on Easter and remember that He lives. This past Sunday I was teaching the Easter lesson to my primary class of four year olds. First of all, I am grateful for them. They teach and show me so much every Sunday. I love each of them. In class we were talking about Jesus Christ's life and recalling what we know and have learned so far, his birth, childhood, baptism, teachings and the people he helped and healed. We talked about what the word "wicked" meant and there were some mean and angry people who didn't want Jesus Christ to live. There is one girl who has the most tender heart. She was upset when we talked about Christ's death and the crucifixion. I admit I was getting really worried. I pushed through the lesson talking about his burial in the tomb stone. All of the other kids were fascinated by the pictures and their eyes were glued to them, but she wouldn't look at them. I watched her excitement grow and attitude change when I taught them that after 3 days he was resurrected. That today He lives. And because of the first resurrection we can all be resurrected and live forever with our family, Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.

March 9, 2015

daylight savings kicked our ends.

Did anyone else way over sleep Sunday? I'm ashamed to say... we slept in until 11:30. But oh goodness it was amazing! But this morning we've been feeling sicky and that's been no fun. But did you know it's National Nap day? So I guess this laziness is justifiable. yeah.. no? Whatever :)

Recently we've been exploring the things the campus has to offer. We discovered theres Roller Skating! I mean, when's the last time I did that? It was so fun. More like have Eric drag me around + dodge as many people as you can before taking a kid out. It was also really funny sitting on the sides and just watching that happen to other people....

Next, I want to go to Latin dance night they offer. Seriously though, the school campus offers so much. Last month we saw Vocal Point perform for about $10 and we've run into the Piano guys around town when they've been here performing. Where else are we going to get these opportunities?  Gotta take advantage of them!

journaling.

I wouldn't call this blog as my personal journal. I like having this blog to feel and be creative and share things for friends and family who follow along who we don't see enough of. It's nice to come here and focus on the good, the happy, to remind myself how fortunate we are or how far we've come when I look back on post. That we are truly happy with our life and who we are.

But I've recently been feeling like it's not enough. I was given this beautiful journal as a high school graduation gift. Along with it was a note from the family about documenting my memories in college.

Today, when I open that book the first thing it says is "I have completed my first semester of college!"

End.

The next line says "Soooo.. I completed my second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth semester of college. I graduated. And I'm married now."

End.

You get the idea. I have been horrible at keeping my own private, personal journal.

I have had quite a few journals growing up. I had stopped after those awkward, embarrassing middle school years. But I started another journal when Eric and I started dating (age 16) and I'm SO glad that I did. But when he left on his mission, and I to college, all journal writing ceased. I'm not sure why.

"People often use the excuse that their lives are uneventful
and nobody would be interested in what they have done.
But I promise you that if you will keep your journals and
records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration
to your families, to your children, your grandchildren,
and others, on through the generations."
-President Spencer W. Kimball, December 1980

I certainly feel like 95% of my life is "uninteresting" or not special enough to record for others. But there is the other 5% that is packed full of life lessons and experiences that I want my future family to be able to learn from and maybe inspire them to keep a record for themselves and others.

So this is kind of me saying, out loud, I'm going to become better and focus on my personal journal writing because I am realizing it is so, so important. Your personal journal can contain your true self. It can include your triumphs, challenges, adversity, testimony and deep thoughts.

"Your journal is your autobiography,
so it should be kept carefully. You are unique,
and there may be incidents in your experience
that are more noble and praiseworthy in their way
than those recorded in any other life"
-President Spencer W. Kimball, December 1980

September 6, 2014

labor day weekend was already a week ago?

I feel like we were just packing our bags and headed to Utah!
This week flew by way to fast, which only means school is starting up again very, very soon.
We really love leaving our tiny apartment to go visit Eric's sister and her cute family in Utah.
Probably because Utah is covered by so many familiar faces! Family, friends and Eric served a mission for our church in Utah. We visit old wards he served in and word just spreads that Elder Johnson is there and everyone comes to us to visit. I know I married an amazing man- hints why I married him ;)- but it is so wonderful to hear other people talk about the love he shared and the great man they see him as.
Playing at the aquarium! Aren't penguins the cutest?

While we were in Utah Eric made it very well known that he was going to go shopping for my birthday [september 25] present. Whatever it is, he's really excited about it and it's killing me! And he's doing everything to cover his tracks so I can't find out. He even shipped it to the neighbors house so I would never see it with him/in our home. Our birthday's are 18 days apart, so I'm a little older ha, and I need to start thinking about what to get him! I have a few ideas....

Our nieces Kamryn and Madison are the absolute cutest! Eric plays with them the whole time we are there, his facial expressions and noises he makes to get baby Madison to smile and giggle are. the. sweetest! If he loves playing with them this much, I just can't wait to see him with our own children one day!
It's going to melt my heart for sure.
Doesn't he just look good holding a baby? ;)
[sorry for the blurry iphone pic]

While visiting Utah I got to meet up with some sweet friends I have missed! So much fun! I was really blessed with the girls I lived with and became such good friends with in college.
From my first semester to now and we're all graduated and living life!

It started to make me feel a little nostalgic. When I was first married I was worried about 'losing' friends. My single friends got new roommates, met more and more people and I was lucky enough to land the GREATEST roommate ever, my husband. We have been on an amazing adventure the past 4.5 months of our marriage. After we had been dating for 5 years there was still so much to learn about one another and memories to make! I feel like old roommates and friends just thought we were too busy for them and had 'moved on' to married life. But the truth is I need my girls! And just them- not 10 other people I don't know at a party. While I was in Utah a single friend brought up the subject and said she knows that it's the friends 'who forget about their married friends'. Which surprised me, because most other single people say it's the complete opposite.
Question: Does anyone else feel like this?
What are some things you found that help make a balance?

About Our Home

I am loving our simple, little home. So. Much. We have been living in it for 4 weeks now, but it feels  like a lot longer. It's so comfortable, cosy, it's us. Within five to six (medium size) steps from the front door you are in our bedroom and in the other direction, our kitchen. Living so closely with someone has never been so fun! We have yet to find affordable kitchen chairs for our table. Funny huh? I let it bother me at first. I felt like the kitchen wasn't complete! But who cares. It's not about it looking perfect. In the mean time, we pushed our couch from the living room up to the kitchen table. Who has a comfy bench for their kitchen? ;)

I love the little moments that we have had in our home and our adventures. There is constant laughter, service, and love. It is fun when you are serving the one you love, and you know what? You start to love them even more! I appreciate all the little things Eric does in our home for us. Sometimes our early morning and busy schedules reflect the way it looks and he takes care of things I don't even think about! I feel so blessed to be in our home. To be together. To feel the love for one another and to grow in our marriage.

Hitting reality a little bit

It starts to feel more and more real. A couple of times this semester it has hit me that I am graduating in July. These past couple of days I've had a new realization. I have to find a job.

All nursing classes were cancelled, we were excused from school and our nursing class headed to Utah to tour hospitals, have mock interviews, ask questions and listen to a lot of presentations why we should consider applying to work at their hospital.

I have known for a while what area of nursing that I want to go into. But visiting these hospitals was an eye opener. I'll be put in Idaho for awhile. But seeing the other hospitals was impressive. Especially today. I had the opportunity to spend the morning at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Those are some dedicated, amazing nurses. The kind of nurse that I aspire to be. The nurses who make up the patients cheer team. Who hope the best for them. Who will make it possible for them to attend their high school prom, whatever it takes. Who work hard for those parents to have their baby home by Christmas. It was an awesome hospital, with an even more amazing staff.

We got a lot of tips when it comes to being a new grad applying for positions. Let the job searching and filling out applications begin! Ahhhh it's such a huge transition!

Random Ramblings

I feel like all of my post have had to do something with my wedding coming up in 18 days and planning for it.

Here are some random things that have been going on:

+ It's so funny to me that this time last semester I thought nursing school was the hardest thing in the world and I was just trying to make it through alive. Now I love it more than ever and I'm hoping to tutor for it next semester.

+ I am obsessed with selling my things. It all started Sunday night. I decided to go through my clothes and pick out things I haven't worn in over a year. There were way to many things I found. I figured if I want to buy anything new soon, I could at least sell the things I am not wearing so I have money to start buying something that I KNOW I am going to wear. Especially for this spring season:) I never thought it would be going this good, only after 2 days! (and I still own a ton of clothes)

+ When Eric goes into work at 11pm on a Wednesday night he works a night shift. So he gets off at work at 5am. Right when I leave for the hospital to go to 12-hour shift. (life of a nurse) So we trade off the car and he leaves me notes/treats in the car. Always get's me through the day :)

+ Watching Modern Family is a constant thing apart of our lives.

Earlier this week Eric and I got assigned our specific apartment number we'll be living in. We've gone out of our way three times this week to drive by our new home. True story.

+ We have been cooking A LOT together. We have counted 3 successful, delicious meals! (does that tell you how many weren't very 'successful'?) We're an awesome team cooking together and it's so much fun in the kitchen.

+ All that's been on my mind lately is Vegas.

That's basically what's been going on in life. Oh and my pathophysiology test this weekend....I only have 9 more days of actual class. We keep telling ourselves we can do this!

January 10, 2014

here's to 2014

2014. I really like typing and saying it.

2013 was a very rough year. Last year I did a 'year in review' post of 2012. I just didn't feel like it this time around. 2013 year dragged on and on. There have been hard, sad times from the passing of my father and grandmother to happy, exciting times when Eric came home from his mission.

But through it all there is one thing that I gained more of. An experience that I will always remember. Something that I cherish. There is a great love I can take away from 2013. My love for the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ was strengthened. Without it, I wouldn't of made it through 2013.

I already really like the way 2014 is going and the exciting plans/times ahead :)

These past 3.5 months

These past 3.5 months, let me tell ya, they've been some for the books. During the mess of it all they weren't exactly times I wanted to remember so much. Now, I want nothing but to look back on them and be grateful.

This past semester was busy. Extra, super, crazy busy. Nothing I ever imagined it would be. On December 20th I finished my fifth semester of college and second semester of nursing school. And I'm just now blogging/talking about any of it...I had to recover first [[And I should probably say something before I dive into another semester.. we're on the 4th day already]]

The nursing program was tough...[[tough/hard meaning I don't really want to talk about it]] But on top of it I accepted a calling as Relief Society President.

--A little insert about what Relief Society is for friends/family who don't know.--
The Relief Society is the oldest women's organization in the world. It was established in 1842 for women 18 years of age and older. Women come together to strengthen, serve, and teach each other. It's Motto is "Charity Never Faileth". The Relief Society is my favorite thing about the LDS church. To me it is friendship. Here at school we are all moving through the same phases of life. Living away from home, college, etc. It is a way for us to be there for one another. Here are some more answers from people of what Relief Society is to them http://mormon.org/faq/relief-society

I felt blessed to be able to serve with about 40 other young women. I was very apprehensive at first being in the nursing program and taking this on. Was I just adding more stress to myself? But it felt right. It was what I needed. I knew that if I did my best to serve and work hard in my studies everything would be fine.

There is one thing I have learned in college thus far, and there's been a lot, Heavenly Father will not let you down. Ever. He is waiting to bless you, but we must have the faith in him that everything will work out. When it all comes down to it, after you've made all your plans and done everything in your power you can possibly do, you have to put your trust and faith in Him. And He comes through for you, every single time

At the end of the semester everything worked out wonderfully. I was stunned. I didn't know what to do next, except thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me. I've never worked so hard and felt so good to be rewarded for it. All with the help of my Heavenly Father. My testimony and faith have been strengthened.

And I get to do all again this new semester, woop!

Antique shopping

We spent a good 5 hours looking through antique shops today. And I loved every minute of it! I love all the crazy, awesome finds. I really want an antique type writer and an antique globe. So fun to go looking for! If you haven't tried antiquing and think you probably wouldn't like it, you never know! There could be something there that you catches your eye. Try it!

I'm hanging out in Arkansas for the next couple of days relaxing until I head back to school. This Christmas break has been way to good to me! There's lots to share coming up as this new year starts! :)

I loved the time of doing NO nursing. I enjoyed it way too much. I didn't want to come back. Within being back 24 hours it snowed 6 inches. Joy. Countdown is on until home for Christmas!
 17 more days!

Blessed not Stressed

 Blessed:
+ Going home in 3 days
+ Thanksgiving in 5 days
+ Airplanes to fly on
+ Native album by OneRepublic
+ Professors that care
+ Surgeons and Medicine
+ Power of Prayer
+ Free tutors at my University
+ Temples
 + and Technology

This past week has been a stressful one. That's for sure. But there is always something to be grateful for each day. I'll expound on some of these things I am grateful for more later, because really I have been so grateful for them this whole semester. I keep telling myself I'm leaving Rexburg in 3 days! I get a wonderful, blissful break. I'm happy I get to fly! No 24 hour car ride, no Sir. I finished all my test that needed to be taken before I leave. OneRepublic got me through it, like always. But I am more blessed by the power of prayer for getting this far. And the one morning taken out of my week to attend the temple. After Thanksgiving break it's hittin the books hard for 3 more weeks until this semester is over! Resting up during Thanksgiving break should be enough to get me to Christmas break, right? I'm happy we have phones and people are a phone call, text message away. It's making Thanksgiving break really exciting :)

Direct your attention

I would like to direct your attention to this post.
It's one of my first post from my blog, over two years ago.
Now those two years have flown by.
I have been in college for two years,
almost half way done with nursing school.
And he is coming home!
Exactly in one week I will see him.

Crazy how time flies?
And everything that can change in two years?
One things for sure, I am so proud of him!
And looking forward to seeing him!
Maybe I'll do a post about my experience the past two years.
We'll see!

Almost home!
:)
